As a first recipe I would like to give something I consider light and healthy. It consists of vegetables and beef cooked in a bit of oil.
Ingredients:
- 500 gs of fillet steak
- one medium onion
- one can of baby corn
- three carrots cut into slice
- one green pepper
- one capsicum
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- one tablespoons of corn starch
Preparation:
- Chop the onion and fry it with a little of cooking oil
- Remove the onion and fry the pieces of meat
- Remove the meat and put in the same oil the carrots and fry them a bit, then add the baby corn,
- Put the onion and the meat back in the pot, add a bit of salt and pepper (as desired) and the soy sauce
- Dissolve the corn starch with a small cup of water and add it to the casserole. Cover it and let it boil on medium heat for 20 minutes then reduce the fire and add the green pepper and the capsicum, cut into strips, and let it simmer for 15 minutes or until the meat is tender ( if the sauce thickens a lot you can always add a little water).
- Serve this dish with white boiled rice and green salad.
